MEET MARTHA SITWELL

Martha Lady Sitwell is a writer, model, and well known personality, she is a passionate advocate for timeless style, entertaining, and British craftsmanship. Known for her love of classic martinis and elegant cocktail culture, she brings creativity, sophistication, and a sense of occasion to everything she does.

Alongside Martha was Hecate, her beloved magpie and faithful companion, infamous for stealing both martinis and their olives whenever one appeared. Hecate is no longer with us, but her mischief lives on in every bottle: the illustration is a tribute to the joy she brought to everyone.

Working closely with Downton Distillery, Martha helped shape a gin designed specifically for the perfect martini - crisp, refined, and subtly spiced, capturing the glamour of the Art Deco era while celebrating modern British distilling.

Why Martha Chose Downton Distillery

Creating a spirit worthy of Martha's name meant finding a distillery that shared her values. Quality came first, but so did craftsmanship, sustainability and a genuine love of the British countryside. Downton Distillery wasn't chosen simply for its award-winning spirits.
