Lady Martha Sitwell’s Gin was created for the Martini.
Martha loved the clarity, strength and structure of our Great Bustard Flight Strength Gin, particularly the way its botanicals hold their own in a properly chilled Martini. She asked us to take that foundation and bring a little more warmth to the glass.
The gin also pays tribute to Martha’s former companion, Hecate, who loved to share her Martinis. It was always a race for the olives. A race that, if you could fly and had a sharp beak, you would always win.
The result is a refined London Dry Gin built around the same distinctive botanical direction, with herbaceous wild rocket, Spanish red clover, yarrow and lucerne, lifted by bright orange. We then introduced a subtle warming spice note that gives the spirit greater depth without losing its crisp, dry finish.
It is elegant, expressive and made for the ritual of the Martini. Serve ice cold with a lemon twist or olive, depending on the evening.
