The surrounding chalk grassland, rolling farmland and ancient woodland provide a haven for wildlife, with every season bringing new sights and sounds.
Alongside our resident birds and mammals, migratory species regularly pass through, adding to the excitement of every visit. Some years even bring extraordinary sightings, including White-tailed Eagles gliding overhead as they head towards Longleat in search of fish. No two visits are ever the same.
