Just love this Gin. Perfect for a French 75 as well as on its own!

If my favourite wasn't Explorer, this would be it!

Equally love I can get refills rather than replacing the bottles every time! The only downside to refillable bottles is the compulsion to keep filling them (this isn't really a downside!)

I can't decide if this of the Explorer is my favourite. I tell everyone I meet to try this gin.

I love the refills too, reusing the bottle and the pouches is a great idea.

Great Bustard Gin - New Refill Pouch

This is such a good gin! And I do love to be able to save a few quid by buying a refill pouch from the distillery, which is already back in the post (empty of course!) to be used again by some other lucky/wise customer (it could be me as well...). I love everything that comes from this distillery and I'm not just saying that to get a discount! I buy/drink a lot of different gins but I have my favourites and this is one! Thanks to Hugh and the company for keeping my alcohol levels topped up

Having tried the Explorers Gin and the Chardonnay Vodka (twice) we are now loving the Great Bustard Gin. It is not just that these products taste wonderful but their organic credentials of how, where and by whom they are made give them a definite extra something. Well done Hugh!

We have been been on-line purchasing ever since finding Hugh from Downton Distillery at the Winchester Christmas market about two years ago. Exceptional service for exceptional products, we just love the Explorer Gin.

My last sighting of Great Bustard was in north China Ninxia around the Xia tombs. A flock of 8 birds.

This has literally become my favourite gin, it just tastes better than all the others. Also great customer service and speedy delivery.

I pre-ordered a bottle of Navy Strength Great Bustard gin the moment I heard it was going to be available. I didn't have to pay up front and it was delivered exactly when they said it would be, with various notifications and tracking info sent before. And of course the gin is delicious - blew my head off in a very dry martini. Downton produces some of the best gins I have ever tried (and I've tried a lot!). Thank you!!

Bought a bottle of Gin for Downton some months ago at Romsey market! I recently finished it and at the time I was told I could get a refill which I thought is a great idea! Anyhow having placed an order I have got my refill in quick time and am a very happy customer. Wish more gin maker would offer such a service! Also helps the gin is great!

Purchased this at the Great Bustard weekend in Enford. It is my new favourite and I have just ordered and received a refill pouch. What a great idea.

One of the most interesting and well made gins I have tried in the last year

I ordered a refill of the Explorer Gin - which I love. It’s a really interesting flavour, unlike the mainstream Gin brands which tend to be rather limited in their choice of botanicals.

I love the use of a refill pack, which furthermore you can simply put in the post to send back. I came across Downton through a friend who also knows the owner, so I was able to return the refill pack and also the wonderfully designed bottle packaging. Far too special a design to thrown away and I hope that can be re-used in the future.

The Great Bustard gin is proving to be one of our favorites hence having to purchase a refill which is such a great idea 😀

As always the communication and service from the Distillery was fast and friendly. As a bonus, their Great Bustard Gin was absolutely delicious, I don't think it will last long!
