Description
About: This is not a purchase. It is a way to register interest and help us organise a Conservation Through Conversation event at your local pub or venue, focused on Great Bustard conservation work.
The Event: Conservation Through Conversation is a relaxed talk series for curious people who want to understand the natural world around them, without needing prior knowledge.
- You will hear why certain species matter, how landscapes are changing, and what practical conservation actually looks like day to day.
- This is followed by sampling one of the Great Bustard Gins that ties local botanicals to the wildlife.
- You will also have the ability to ask questions to those leading the efforts.
- These talks suit anyone who enjoys learning, values place, and wants a deeper connection to the countryside they live in or visit.
- We hope you come away having learnt about our beautiful downs and the Great Bustards.
What we Need:
- Interest in hosting the talk.
- Help connecting us with a suitable pub or local group.
- Input on a date that works for the venue.
We have already run successful events in pubs and community spaces, typically welcoming up to 40 people. There is no cost to host. We handle the organisation and work directly with the venue.

Customer Review:
‘Hugh gave our WI meeting a thoroughly engaging and insightful talk, with Great Bustard Gin taking centre stage. Hearing how the spirit connects directly to Great Bustard conservation on Salisbury Plain and juniper rewilding on the Wiltshire Downs was genuinely fascinating. The depth of care, both in distilling and sustainability, was striking. The tasting sealed it. Great Bustard Gin was exceptional. Beautifully balanced, distinctive, and memorable. Many of us arrived curious. We left impressed, with bottles purchased immediately, both for ourselves and as gifts.’ Amanda Palmer
