The Hot Toddy is one of the simplest and most comforting winter cocktails. Warm, sweet, and easy to make, it is perfect for cold evenings and dark winter nights.
The classic recipe uses whisky or rum. Hot water, lemon juice, and honey complete the drink. Over time, countless variations have appeared around the world.
The drink's origins can be traced back to India in the early seventeenth century. The original version was made from fermented palm sap. By 1786, the term described a drink made with spirits, hot water, spices, and sugar.
Today, the Hot Toddy remains a winter favourite. It is commonly found in British pubs and homes during the colder months. In the United States, fruit-infused versions are particularly popular.
Our Gin Hot Toddy offers a fresh twist on this classic serve. Explorer's Gin brings bright citrus notes and warming botanicals to the recipe. These flavours work beautifully with honey, lemon, and spice.
The result is rich, aromatic, and wonderfully comforting. It delivers warmth without feeling heavy. Every sip combines citrus freshness, gentle sweetness, and botanical depth. Whether enjoyed after a winter walk or beside a roaring fire, the Gin Hot Toddy is a timeless cold-weather companion.
