With temperatures soaring, we wanted to create a cocktail that was genuinely refreshing while still delivering the complexity of a classic aperitif. The result is our Heatwave Negroni, a lighter interpretation of the White Negroni.
Built around 40ml of Great Bustard Gin or Explorer's Gin, the cocktail combines 20ml elderflower liqueur or cordial, 20ml Regal Rogue Bianco Vermouth and 20ml chilled Earl Grey tea. Elderflower brings delicate floral notes, while the tea contributes subtle bergamot character that works beautifully with the botanicals in the gin.
Unlike a traditional Negroni, this version omits the bitter liqueur, creating a smoother and more approachable drink. Garnished with orange peel and fresh thyme, it is crisp, aromatic and perfectly suited to long summer afternoons.
