The Insomniac Martini | Vodka Cocktail

At first glance, the Insomniac may look similar to an Espresso Martini. Both cocktails celebrate the rich flavours of freshly brewed coffee and share the same dark, inviting appearance. Once you take a sip, however, the differences become immediately apparent.

The Espresso Martini is known for its clean, crisp profile, balancing vodka, coffee and sweetness in a refined and energetic serve. The Insomniac takes a different approach. It is richer, creamier and designed for those who enjoy deeper, more indulgent flavours.

The secret lies in the choice of spirit. By using our Hazelnut Vodka or Nocino, the cocktail gains layers of roasted nuts, gentle spice and natural sweetness that complement the coffee beautifully. These flavours soften the sharper edges often found in coffee cocktails, creating a smoother and more rounded drinking experience.

The result is a cocktail that sits somewhere between an after-dinner drink and a classic coffee serve. The coffee provides depth and intensity, while the hazelnut or walnut notes add warmth, richness and complexity. Every sip reveals flavours reminiscent of toasted nuts, dark chocolate and fresh espresso.

While the Espresso Martini remains a modern classic, the Insomniac offers something more decadent. It is a cocktail designed for slow sipping, relaxed evenings and those moments when dessert and a nightcap feel equally appealing. Rich, comforting and full of character, it is the perfect choice for coffee lovers looking for something a little different.
