This is our first liqueur using hand picked green walnuts from the three beautiful walnut trees growing behind the distillery and a young tree in our small botanical garden. Walnuts have been used in spirits for many years, but the Italians are famous for their Nocino.

We slice the walnuts into quarters, macerate them with our blend of spices for 6 months, before filtering and sweetening with organic maple syrup. It is left for another 6 months to mature before bottling. 

It has soft cardamom and coffee notes. Sweetness is through our organic maple syrup. Delicious served drizzled over vanilla ice cream, or served on its own as an aperitif. It makes an excellent Espresso Martini or Chocolate Martini.

Pair with cheese after dinner.

The Italian green walnut liqueur Nocino is the winter variant of the Limoncello. It has a rich flavor made with unripe green walnuts, infused with orange peel, coffee beans, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and cloves. We sweeten this using organic maple syrup.

Nose: Nocino is finely balanced between bitter and sweet with aromas of caramel / maple, coffee, nutmeg, cinnamon and leather.
